TPMThe best part of the MSI B450M Pro VDH motherboard is that it provides a dedicated TPM module. One should know that TPM is an Onboard device that is necessarily required for Windows 11, without TPM you may have some problems while installing Windows 11. By having TPM support, this motherboard can easily install Windows 11.

This motherboard comes with a pre-installed heat sink element for better cooling and supports a maximum of 3400 MHz RAM.

RAM– Corsair DDR4 3200 MHz

Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHZ C16
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHZ C16

This Corsair 8 GB C16 3200MHz RAM comes with high-end ICs which will provide custom preference and can be overclocked as per the user requirements. The RAM casing comes with an in-build aluminum heatsink for better cooling.

For the Video Editing setup, I have selected 8 GB X 4 pc RAM which will be equal to a total 32 GB Memory. As per current video editing trends, you would require as least 24 GB of RAM and recommended up to 32 GB.

The CAS (column access strobe) latency of this RAM is C16. RAM is a temporary device that stores and shares input and output data with the Processor on a temporary basis. The time taken by the RAM to transfer data to the processor via the data controller is called CAS Latency. Less latency is considered best as it takes less time for processing so avoid buying DDR4 RAMs above CL 16.

SSD– Crucial P3 500GB PCIe NVMe M.2 3500 MB/S

Crucial P3 500GB PCIe 3.0 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD
Crucial P3 500GB PCIe 3.0 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD

SSD is the fastest way of storing and releasing data in modern computers. As the conventional Hard drive provides only a 140 MB/S data transfer rate while SSDs will provide up to 3500 MB/S. So it’s clear that SSD is 95% more efficient in terms of storing speed when compared to the HDD.

Unlike HDDs, SSD doesn’t need to spin the storage disk to store data. The data in SSD is stored on a memory chip. The HDDs are slow because it has to spin the data storage disk, the fastest spin will provide a high data storage rate.

Crucial 500 GB 3500 MB/S storage SSD will provide great efficiency while Gaming and video editing. However, this SSD does not come with DRAM. DRAM is an important feature in storage devices as the storage device with DRAM will have more life when compared to SSDs without DRAM. In fact, DRAM is a more advanced feature and is costly, click here to read more about DRAM.

Hard Drive– Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 7200 RPM

The Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD comes with 64 MB cache memory and spins the storage disk Up to 7200 RPM. The manufacturer provides a warranty of 2-5 years and the maximum DATA writing rate is 140 MB/Sec and the reading rate is 210 MB/sec.

Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB HDD 3.5 SATA 6 Gbs 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache

The best part of this hard drive is that it comes with DRAM for a fast and reliable storage solution, and also because of the DRAM, this HDD is going to have more life when compared to Non-DRAM HDDs.

Power Supply– Ant Esports VS600L 600 Watt

The power supply is the most important component of the PC build. The SMPS for this Video editing rig should not be less than 600 Watt as having this PSU (Power supply unit) will help you with further upgrades, you can plug in an RTX 1060 Graphics card later when required as the RTX 1060 6 GB requires more than 400-watt power supply.

Ant Esports VS600L 600 Watt Non-Modular
Ant Esports VS600L 600 Watt Non-Modular

The manufacturer claims 2 years of warranty and 1-lakh hour of service. There is one 120mm cooling fan and has the following connectors:

  • ATX 24-pin connecter
  • EPS 4+4 Pin Connectors-1
  • PCIe (6+2) Connectors-1
  • SATA Connectors-4
  • Peripheral 4-Pin Connectors-2

The only problem with this power supply is that it’s not an 80+ rated power supply. This means that it will consume more electricity. The 80+ power supply unit is best for saving electric bills but those are expensive. You may compromise on other parts to buy 80+ certification SMPS.

Cabinet– CHIPTRONEX Z810 Micro ATX RGB Cabinet

For Video editing and Gaming PC, the looks also matter. So the RGB cabinet with 2-preinstalled front casing fans with USB 3.0 port is the best choice for production and gaming. This Cabinet has dedicated RGB control cables which can be plugged into the MSI B450M Pro VDH motherboard to control the lighting effects of the RGB fan.

Bluetooth

The sound system is a must-have gadget for video editing PC, as it is an essential element for sound designing for video editors.

So here we have a multimedia 2.1 channel Bluetooth speaker from FENDA or F&D. This Bluetooth speaker comes with an On & off button, a USB port, previous & forward buttons, and a volume up & down button.

This speaker has one woofer and has two-satellite speakers for right & left sound. Offers a calling function and an FM radio function.

Ryzen 5 5600G Performance

The Ryzen 5600 APU Processor comes with inbuild Vega 7 graphics which is sufficient for a Hight-end gaming and video editing experience. The processor has 6 cores and 12 threads.

This Processor can easily run 4k video editing and rendering along with that it can run AAA games at a maximum of 40 FPS. The following benchmarks have been done with Ryzen 5600G with 16 GB RAM and Inbuild Vega Graphics of the processor.

Bench Marking Ryzen 5600G APU

  • Assasins creed origins at 900 P- 31 FPS
  • GTA V at 1080 P lowest setting- 60 FPS (No frame drop)
  • GTA V at 1080 P Highest setting- 50 FPS (No frame drop)
  • Valorant at 1080 P lowest setting- 160 FPS
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080 P lowest settings- 30 FPS (Slight Frame drop)
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 900 P lowest settings- 47 FPS
  • Far Cry 5 at 1080 P lowest settings- 25 FPS (Regular Frame drops)
  • Far Cry 5 at 900 P lowest settings- 35 FPS (Slight frame drops)
  • Battlefield 5 at 1080 P lowest settings- 40 FPS (Smooth Gameplay)

So the final thought about Ryzen 5 5600G is that you can absolutely play 1080 P resolution at the lowest settings which will render 40 FPS on average but better recommended to play games on this processor at 900P.

Video Editing in Ryzen 5600G

With 6-cores and 12-threads Ryzen 5600G can easily handle 1080 p Video editing tasks but the export time will be slightly more because there is no “GPU hardware acceleration” and also the preview window should be set at 50%.

While in the case of 4k Video editing, you can easily edit 4k videos up to 2 layers only. If there will be more than 2 layers then it’s going to lag. But you can later plug in a dedicated graphics card for better 4k Video editing.

Conclusion

So this was a complete guide on PC build under rs 50,000 which was mainly built on an APU having inbuild graphics. But honestly speaking, you can smoothly run only 1080P video editing on this setup, for 4k Video editing this PC build will lag while rendering the projects.

In this PC build I have selected 32 GB RAM as 8GBX4, so if you want to plug in a dedicated Graphics card, you just reduce the amount of RAM to 16 GB and avoid buying speakers.

You can even save money on HDD as you can run your PC setup only on SSD and can use this money on a 4GB Graphics card.
