So below are some personally experienced YouTube ranking tips which I have used to rank many videos when I was working as an SEO freelancer for many small businesses and firms.

Use of Timestamps and chapters

As you can see in the above image how YouTube shows “timestamps” so that a viewer can directly jump on the topic of his choice if the videos are too long.

If you are making Youtube videos of over more than 607 minutes, then having timestamps makes your video optimization perfect. Since timestamps are not only shown in YouTube, they are also being served directly in the google search results as shown below.

So having timestamps on your YouTube videos makes your content user-friendly and search engine friendly, and hence the visibility of your content gets improved.

In my 7-years career as an SEO expert and web developer, I have noticed that search engines care a lot about timing and regularity.

As if you will do some research, you will notice that the channels that publish videos regularly and on fixed time get benefited a lot from the search engines.

What do you mean by CTR? A CTR is a percentage which shows that how many people have clicked per impression. Just understand this with an example: If your videos have been served by the search engine for 100 times and it got 46 clicks, then the CTR will be 46% (46/100X100).

So from the above equation, we get to know that- the more will be the content quantity the greater will be the CTR.

Note: A CTR is directly affected by the number of videos you have, but it also gets affected by the quality. Since if the quality of the videos gets disliked by the viewers then there will be an increment in “bounce rate” and hence the increased bounce rate will reduce the reach of your content in the form of shadow-ban (unofficial ban, where YouTube will no longer recommend your content).

You may have seen that some of the creators don’t have quality content but they got views because of their thumbnail and controversial or attractive title and this is what the clickbait’s do.

And also there is an official guideline from YouTube that YouTube videos should contain the human voice of any kind of voice but not the robot voice.

To make your videos of premium quality, you can use the following software and tools:

In order to make your description meaningful and valuable, it must contain the following things:
